I was actually a little bit skeptical when I rolled up at this place as it was dead. But it seems that was just an issue of timing as not long after I arrived, so did many others which made the cafe feel a bit more lively.
The cafe is a cross between open air food court, cafe and restaurant. And although it sounds odd, it really works well. A bunch of kiosks offer up an assortment of meals and drinks and you can enjoy them in a mixture of outdoor seating, semi-outdoor and indoor. The style of these seating areas in an old Javanese style with colourful tiles, old chairs and a “joglo”. I sat here on my laptop for about 3 hours and felt completely comfortable. Wifi is fast at 18mbps down and 19mbps up and there are electricity sockets at most tables. It’s a top little spot for working.I ordered a couple of cappuccinos and they came in old school tin cups. Flavour was great. I also ordered a nasi goreng which I really enjoyed. Susan’s iced coffee came in a plastic container which was disappointing, but the flavour was very good.Despite being a little skeptical about this place, it turned into a really good place to relax and work. Definitely recommended if you need a bite to eat, a spot of wifi and a good coffee.
